Students who successfully complete the program will receive a Vancouver Island University certificate.
The EACS certificate has the potential to ladder into these programs at Vancouver Island University:
- Bachelor of Social Work degree
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Child and Youth Care diploma or degree
- Social Services diploma
Graduates of LDS may ladder into the Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation (CRDS) at University of Calgary; for students graduating from VIU's Disabilities Studies diploma, University of Calgary offers a block transfer directly into the Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation program.
LDS graduates may also ladder into a Bachelor of Disability Management at Pacific Coast University in Port Alberni.
