Mary Anne has been on faculty of the BSN program at VIU since January 2003. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa in 1983 and her Master of Nursing from Athabasca University in 2006. She has also completed several specialty diplomas and has worked in critical care, palliative care, and perinatal nursing in a variety of settings across Canada and Scotland. She has travelled extensively in Europe and Asia which has fueled her passion for global health and international, intercultural, and inter-professional collaboration at home and abroad. She has taught across all years of the BSN program and is always grateful for the opportunity to share her experiences and passion for nursing practice with students, and is continually inspired by these future colleagues.
