The Leadership and Disability Studies Diploma has been carefully designed in response to a thorough consultation process with students, graduates, employers, and other sector leaders. As a result of the review, the program is offered in a blended format that is predominantly online with mandatory attendance in Powell River for a five-day intensive residency in the fall semester at the beautiful Outdoor Learning Center.

Powell River is well known as a model community and so provides a rich backdrop for learning. Through this delivery model, we have made the program accessible to both local students and to distance learners throughout British Columbia and Canada.
Students must have access to high speed internet. The program uses workplace or community undergraduate research projects to help students integrate and apply classroom learning in practice while making a difference in their community, school, or organization.
